Membership in the Cedar Grove Community Association extends each member the opportunity to participate in organized activities and ventures that support the goals and objectives of the residents of the Cedar Grove Community. The association has the following types of memberships:
1) Resident Member: Any person over the age of 18 years residing within the defined boundaries, and who considers such residence as his or her primary residence, may upon application and full payment of annual dues become a member in good standing, with all the rights, privileges and obligations attached hereto, under the By-laws.
2) Non-Resident Member: Any person over the age of eighteen years residing outside the defined boundaries for more than 6 months out of any 12 months, may upon application and full payment of annual dues become a non-resident member in good standing, with all the rights, privileges and obligations attached hereto, under the By-laws. However, Non-resident members may not serve as Officers, on the Board of Directors, or as “proxies’ on behalf of Resident Members or Directors.
3) Honorary Member: Any member in good standing may nominate another person over the age of 18 to be granted an Honorary Membership. Upon Board approval, an Honorary Member is entitled to attend General meetings and functions, and to receive association correspondence. Honorary members may not serve as Officers, on the Board of Directors, or as “proxies’ on behalf of Resident Members or Directors, or vote at the General membership meeting. All Honorary Memberships will be renewed, by the Board at the first Board meeting following June 1st. An Honorary membership can be terminated at any time by majority vote of the Board of Directors.
When membership in the Association ceases, all claim to and interest in any property of the Association shall cease and terminate, and all property and/or records belonging to the Association shall be returned to the Board of Directors.
