The City of South Fulton District 4 Open House was held at the Lakes at Cedar Grove Clubhouse on May 6th, 2017 from 1 – 9Pm.
Council member Gilyard was embraced by residents who offered her encouragement and “physical” support facing the endeavors that are before us.
Council member Gilyard implore the residents to attend every council meeting when possible (City Hall) which will be held at the:
South Service Center on Stonewall Tell Road
5600 Stonewall Tell Road (temporary)
On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 5pm to 7pm (Mayor & Council work session) and at 7pm to 9pm (Public assembly)
Council member Gilyard shared with those in attendance among other things, the top three concerns across all seven districts which are:
- Safety (Police visibility)
- Trash (Illegal dumping areas)
- Zoning
Council member Gilyard of District 4 want all of the residents to understand we are a “Brand-New City” being constructed from the ground up in many instances and it will take some time to get acclimated to the new environment while still getting things accomplished as a team (which includes us all).
We as a city don’t have:
- City phone numbers(yet) – Council member Gilyard can be reached via her personal phone and email address as well as on her personal website Council Member Gilyard’s Website
- City Website – Once we erect our official website, we expect it to have a page dedicated to each district in the city. We already have a link dedicated on the navigation bar of the Cedar Grove Community website that will send you to the City of South Fulton District 4 website when created. Meanwhile, we will keep you posted as best we can on this site when all possible.
- City Hall – Which is why we are temporarily meeting; (public council meetings) at the Service Center on Stonewall Tell that is currently owned by the county.
The mayor & council are representatives of our city and subsequent districts. That’s eight pair of eyes & hands, which means we need your eyes, hands and mouth to ensure that the City of South Fulton will indeed become all that it can be. (May 06, 2017)
Here are a few photos taken at the Open House. There were “four” (Annetta Fisher -Treasurer-, Elise Fisher -Secretary-, Mary Lomax -Board Member-, Mike Taylor -Board Member-) of your CGCA board members there at 1PM with the others to attend later in the day.
