David Daniels

David Daniels was elected in 2019 to serve on the Cedar Grove Community Association Board of Directors as a Director at Large focused on Fire and Environmental issues. Daniels has been a resident of the Lakes at Cedar Grove sub-division since 2011.  He is President and CEO of a workplace safety consulting firm, ID2 Solutions, LLC, former Fulton County Fire Chief and former Executive Director of Workforce Safety in the Office of the Atlanta Mayor.

Mr. Daniels’ expertise is informed by over 30 years of experience in Fire Rescue Services and Emergency Management in eight local governments in three states.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Services Administration and a Master’s in Human Resources Management Degree.  He is certified as a Safety Director, Emergency Management Specialist and an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist. He also completed the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard University.

Mr. Daniels has been a thought leader and participant in a number of safety focused organizations including service as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Safety Council (NSC), Founding Chair of the NSC’s Government and Public-Sector Division, Founding Chair of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Safety, Health, and Survival Section; Founding Chair of the IAFC’s Bullying, Harassment and Violence Prevention Task Group and an affiliate of the Workplace Bullying Institute.
